Welcome behind the easel, where sketches, ideas and unfinished paintings gradually find their final form.

In exhibitions and galleries, you usually only see the finished painting. What happens before that often remains hidden: initial sketches, discarded ideas, color experiments, and the many small decisions that allow a work to grow.

Not every painting comes about in a straightforward way. Some develop quickly, others accompany me for weeks or even months. With these glimpses into my studio, I would like to occasionally share this process with you.

Since I consciously avoid social media, you will find current insights into my work exclusively here on my website. I show you progress updates on new works, snapshots from the studio, thoughts on my artistic process, and information about exhibitions and markets. In short: Here you will find everything that is currently on my desk.

The cover image shows some of my daily companions in the studio. The traces of paint on palettes, brushes, and palette knives tell of paintings that have already been created and of new ideas that are still waiting to be realized.

I'd be happy if you stopped by from time to time.
